Playground Program

Fall 2020 Season begins in late August at the Kapolei Regional Park

AYSO Playground is a child development program with the objective of developing a child’s fundamental motor skills using soccer as a common thread. It is not a coaching program or a soccer program, although soccer balls will be used in some activities.
The program is designed to develop:

● Locomotor (i.e. running, hopping, skipping, etc.)
● Non-locomotor (i.e. balancing and twisting, etc.)
● Object Control (i.e. catching, throwing, kicking, etc.)

These are critical skills for all sports and involve eye-hand coordination as well as eye-foot coordination.
The program include six sessions, approximately one hour in length. Each child will need to have a parent (or other adult) able to work with them on the field.

Required equipment includes athletic shoes and a size three soccer ball.
