AYSO Spring Futsal Jamboree!

AYSO is partnering with 808 Futsal (1010 Munu Street, Kapolei, HI  96707)  to bring this exciting type of soccer to AYSO players! We are running a 5 weeks program on Saturdays June 1 through June 29. These 1 ½ hours sessions will be run jamboree style with players randomly placed on teams that will play a series of 8 minute mini games.

Futsal is played 5v5 which includes a keeper with free substitutions and no slide tackling. 8U and 10U will be played on half courts with 12U on the full courts. For a full set of rules go here.

Players register individually at the Leeward AYSO Region web site, go to MY ACCOUNT above, select Registration and then select the 2024 Spring Futsal Jamboree.  Be sure to use the login that you used to register for the fall or spring season, so you are not charged the $20 national fee again. The cost for current AYSO players is $65, $85 for non AYSO players. The sessions will be coed for 8U and gender specific for 10U, and 12U age divisions. Sessions will be held at 808 Futsal’s indoor, air conditioned, facility in Kapolei. Session tentative start times each week are:

• 8U Coed - 8:30 AM
• 10U B &  10U G - 10:15 AM
• 12U B - noon
• 12U G - 1:45 PM

Players can wear any color shirt and shorts as scrimmage vests will be used to identify teams. Futsal balls will be provided at the site. Players will need water (no other beverages are allowed) shin guards and shoes with flat soles (no turf shoes or cleats allowed). Specific futsal shoes are available at the 808 Futsal Pro shop but are not required. 

The intent of this program is to provide an introduction to futsal in a fun player centric environment. While we will need volunteers each week to help keep time and manage the game (Help with substitutions and keep a general eye on games) there will not be any coaches or referees needed. The idea is to let the kids play and learn through the game itself.  The staff at 808 Futsal will explain the timekeeper roles and game manager roles. These volunteers will stay on the same court for the session, the players however will be rotating around to different courts throughout the session. We will need 3 timekeepers and 3 to 6 game managers each week for each session. Please sign up to help upon arrival at the facility.
